The photos of the coronation of Charles III, between big and small moments

“God Save The King!” », launched the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, imitated by some of the approximately 2,300 guests present at Westminster Abbey. Under the trumpets and cannon shots, King Charles III and Queen Camilla were crowned on Saturday, May 6, during a religious ceremony full of solemnity in London.

Back at Buckingham Palace, the royal family greeted the thousands of people who had gathered to catch a glimpse of the sovereign. The event, placed under very high security, took place without notable incident apart from the very noticed arrest of more than twenty demonstrators, including six anti-monarchists and several environmental activists who wanted to protest on the royal route.
