New twist in the endless “FIFAgate” soap opera, this myriad of politico-financial scandals, settling of scores and criminal proceedings in connection with the International Football Federation (FIFA). According to information from World, a denunciation was filed on October 26 with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) against one of its main members: FIFA President Gianni Infantino, the target of several complaints and a criminal investigation in Switzerland.
In this “Request”, than The world consulted the Swiss company Sport 7 – specialized in management in the sporting environment and which began in 2017 in “Attacking the lawless area of football agents” – request to the IOC Executive Board “To open immediately an investigation against Mr. Infantino with a view to his exclusion from the IOC and that it suspend him provisionally in the meantime, as Articles 3.8 and 59 of the Olympic Charter provide for the possibility ”.
Represented by his lawyer and one of his managing partners, Philippe Renz, Sport 7 had filed, in May, with the Swiss justice, a “Criminal denunciation” against the former Swiss Attorney General Michael Lauber for “Abuse of authority and obstruction of criminal proceedings” and against “Members to be determined of the management of the MPC [ministère public de la confédération] and FIFA ”.
According to our information, this criminal complaint is currently being handled by the Swiss extraordinary prosecutor Stefan Keller. Which opened, in July, criminal proceedings against MM. Lauber and Infantino. This investigation targets three secret meetings between the two men, in 2016 and 2017.

In the denunciation sent to the IOC Ethics and Compliance Officer, Pâquerette Girard-Zappelli, Me Renz “Furthermore invites the IOC Executive Board to take a proactive interest in (…) to the facts which are the subject of two other criminal complaints which were filed by third parties with the federal criminal justice in May and June against Mr. Infantino ”.
Elected to the IOC in January, four years after his inauguration at the head of FIFA, Mr. Infantino was cleared by the ethics committee of the International Federation on August 19. Or three weeks after the opening of criminal proceedings against him.
