The NBA announced Wednesday (March 11th) that it is suspending all games of the season after a reported case of coronavirus in a Utah Jazz player, which initially led to the postponement of the team's scheduled game in evening in Oklahoma City.

"The NBA suspends the rest of the scheduled games until further notice", said the North American basketball league, whose regular season was scheduled to run until April 15, before the playoffs lead to the finals in early June.

“A Utah Jazz player has previously tested positive for the Covid-19. This match (Wednesday) evening in Oklahoma City was canceled. The player concerned was not in the room ", added the NBA, without specifying his identity.

The Thunder-Jazz match was postponed just before kick-off was given. The court did not immediately clarify what was the reason.

The announcer told spectators in the Chesapeake Energy Arena that the match would not take place due to "Unforeseen circumstances". After which the thousands of people present quietly headed for the exits.

The teams had just been presented to the public and the match seemed to be on the point of starting when, after a conversation between the officials of the meeting and the teams, all left in a hurry to the locker rooms.

A few hours before the players of the meeting came to the floor, the room staff was seen spraying a product on the chairs reserved for players and team staff at the edge of the field and cleaning them with rags.

Four of the six games scheduled for Wednesday evening took place in the evening, the suspension of the season having been announced by the NBA after the kick-off.
