Rishi Sunak, new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, “will work day and night for the British people”

He arrives at 10 Downing Street during a difficult time for the UK. Rishi Sunak, the new Prime Minister, paid tribute to his predecessor, Liz Truss, during his first official speech on Monday, October 24.

The new leader of the Conservative Party hailed Liz Truss’ tenure, the shortest in contemporary UK history, served with “dignity and grace”, “in exceptionally difficult circumstances”. He promised to “work day and night” to face economic challenges “deep” faced by the United Kingdom, “country to which [il] must[t] so much “.
