Palestinian opens fire near Tel Aviv, kills at least five

An armed Palestinian mourners in Bnei Brak, near Tel Aviv, Israel, Tuesday, March 29. In the evening, a young Palestinian from Yaabad, in the occupied West Bank, opened fire and killed at least five people. He was shot dead by Israeli police after killing five people.

A policeman, an Arab Israeli, member of the operation to neutralize the assailant, succumbed to his injuries a few hours after the attack.

Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said that Israel was “at the beginning of a difficult period”. The March 29 attack comes amid rising violence ahead of major gatherings linked to Ramadan, which will begin on April 2.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas also condemned the deadly attack. “The killing of Palestinian and Israeli civilians only aggravates the situation further”he said in a statement.
