After the broadcast of these videos, several photos of Princess Latifa were posted on an Instagram account. On Monday, a new photo supposed to show her at Madrid-Barajas airport rekindled speculation about her situation.

“I recently visited three European countries for a vacation with a friend. I asked him to post some pictures on the Internet to prove to the activists that I can travel wherever I want ”, said Princess Latifa, according to the firm Taylor Wessing. “I now hope that I can live my life in peace, without being watched by the media. She has not been seen in public since that unsuccessful escape attempt.

AFP has not been able to verify the authenticity, nor the date on which three recent photos posted on an Instagram account bearing the name of “shinnybryn” were taken. This account belongs to a Briton named Sioned Taylor – a teacher, former member of the Royal Navy and employee of the Royal Family of Dubai – according to British media. Contacted by AFP, the Dubai authorities did not react to this publication of photos of the princess on the Internet.
