Time was beginning to be long for Garbine Muguruza. The Spanish player had not reached the final of a Major tennis tournament since the 2017 edition of Wimbledon, which she had won. On Saturday, February 1, she will be on the court in Melbourne with the goal of winning the title at the Australian Open. She will face American Sofia Kenin.

Garbine Muguruza offered his ticket to this final by dominating, Thursday, January 30, the Romanian Simona Halep. Today ranked 32nd in the world, the Spaniard won in two sets against the world number 3, 7-6 (10/8), 7-5.

Besides Wimbledon, Muguruza had also won another Grand Slam tournament at Roland Garros in 2016.
