the Italian press announces the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic to AC Milan

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has reached an agreement with AC Milan to join his former club for six months, several Italian media said on Thursday. According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Swede accepted the offer of the Lombard club and should arrive in Milan "In the coming days".

"The parties have agreed and are in the process of closing the deal. The Swede is back with the Rossoneri », writes the sports daily. According to media reports, Ibrahimovic would arrive in Milan with a six-month contract, estimated at 3 million euros and with an option for an additional year.

Eleventh place in Serie A

Free since leaving the Los Angeles Galaxy, the 38-year-old forward is expected to be available for the next AC Milan game on January 6 against Sampdoria. "Ibra, who has been at a standstill since mid-November, will need two to three weeks to regain good form", however specifies the Gazzetta.

The Rossoneri, struggling since the start of the season, suffered their worst defeat in just one year last weekend, losing 5-0 to Atalanta, and are currently eleventh in Serie A.

Ibrahimovic played two seasons at AC Milan between 2010 and 2012. The Swede had scored 42 goals in 61 games, making a large contribution to the Italian club's last title won in the 2010/2011 season.
