The Breton club announced on Monday the resignation of Julien Stéphan; since then, the name of Bruno Genesio circulated in the media as first choice. Born in Lyon, the former professional footballer, who played as a midfielder, notably coached OL from 2015 to 2019, before an experience in China, at Beijing Guoan (2019-2021).
Coach with a virgin record, but with solid references, Bruno Genesio, 54, finds himself in Ligue 1 in a club that has had little success as an opponent (three wins in eight confrontations), but never too far from Lyon either: he will work with Florian Maurice, current technical director of Stade Rennes, another Gone, whom he worked with for more than ten years at OL.
