Rennes win 3-0 against Belfort

It’s the end of a great story for Belfort fans. The club of 4e division, defeated Nancy (Ligue 2) and Montpellier (Ligue 1) in previous rounds, lost 3-0 to Rennes Tuesday, February 11, during the quarterfinals of the Coupe de France.

Rennes, the defending champion, shone with the precision of his game – 6 shots on target among his 13 attempts, against 2 out of 10 for the Belfortains. The first goal was scored by Raphinha at the 24e minute, followed by M’Baye Niang at 70e on a penalty and by Siebatcheu at the 91e.

Next long awaited shock of the Coupe de France: Lyon – Marseille, which will take place Wednesday at 9 p.m. Rennes will know their opponent in the last four on Wednesday after the draw.
