Olympique de Marseille wins against Lyon (2-1)

With this victory counting for the 13th day of Ligue 1, the Marseilles go back to second place in the championship, qualifier for the Champions League.

A historic tifo for the 120th anniversary of the Olympique de Marseille. Thanks to French international Dimitri Payet, who scored twice on Sunday (November 10th), Marseille won 2-1 against Olympique Lyonnais Rudi Garcia, who, six months later, made his comeback at Stade Vélodrome – under the boos.

With this victory counting for 13e Ligue 1 day, the Marseillais go back to the second place of the championship, qualifier for the Champions League. It is, however, a stop for the Gones who now point to the 14e place of the championship, six points behind the winner of the"Olympico".

Barely kicked whistle, Marseille was pressing the goal of Antony Lopes, the porter Lyon. The Gones then multiplied the assaults in the Marseilles camp, without success.

A great Dimitri Payet then offered Marseille a prestigious success, the first since 2014 against rivals Lyonnais in the Championship, before a record attendance (65,421 spectators) and conquered.
