Barely a few hours after sending Argentina's Mauricio Pochettino to the Champions League final, the English side Tottenham announced Wednesday (November 20th) that José Mourinho would be their new coach.

Tottenham President Daniel Levy welcomed the arrival of the Portuguese one of the most successful coaches in football ":

"He has a lot of experience, he's a great tactician and knows how to inspire teams. He has won honors in every club he has coached. "

Since 2002, Mourinho has worked on the banks of FC Porto in Portugal (2002-2004), Inter Milan in Italy (2008-2010), Real Madrid in Spain (2010-2013) and, in England, Chelsea (2004-2007, 2013-2015) then Manchester United (2016-2018). He has won the title of champion in each of the four championships and counts in all 25 major trophies in his career.

"Extremely disappointing domestic results"

The abrupt change of coach, shortly before the start of the season, is justified by "Household results (…) extremely disappointing, according to the management of the London club.

In his crazy European race last season, Tottenham had left forces in the Premier League, winning only three of his last twelve games. These poor results have continued this season since the club is at 14e place, eleven lengths of the 4e place, synonymous with C1, and twenty of the Liverpool leader.

Worse, Pochettino's Tottenham, eliminated in the League Cup by a D4 club, has not won a Premier League game since 28 September. José Mourinho will have the opportunity to stop this bad series on Saturday against another London club, West Ham.
