The first day of the Europa League group stage is due to start on Thursday 22 October.

After the draw for the groups of the Champions League on Thursday, it was the turn of the teams qualified for the Europa League to be fixed, Friday 2 October, on their future opponents. For the two French clubs in contention, Lille and Nice, the horizon is slightly different.

Lille inherited a tough group as they will face Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s AC Milan, the Scots Celtic Glasgow and the Czechs Sparta Prague in the Europa League, according to the draw made at UEFA headquarters in Nyon ( Swiss).
