Ode to autocracy!
Xi Jinping centralist authoritarianism prevented the coronavirus that appeared in the Hubei region of Wuhan from being immediately treated. Fearful of displeasing the "center", local authorities have silenced the whistleblowers. For weeks – precious weeks – we circulated freely in and out of Hubei. The virus has spread. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has not emerged from a business inherent in the mode of government it embodies.
He intends to make up for it today. He praises the ability he had to neutralize the crisis. The CCP highlights its unique ability to impose total containment on tens of millions of people. Ode to autocracy! It's not just the political level. State capitalism, as practiced in China, is celebrated. Beijing commands Chinese companies, which obey, with this flexibility of reaction which characterizes them.
