“It was the least of things” than coming to attend the “platinum jubilee” of Elizabeth II, believes Carol Wearon, one of the very many spectators installed in front of London’s Buckingham Palace, Thursday, June 2.

The public appearances of the sovereign, aged 96, are rare due to her increasingly fragile health since the death of her husband, Prince Philip, last April.
