In the United Kingdom, final preparations before the coronation of Charles III

The coronation of Charles III will take place on Saturday May 6, in London. Even if the 74-year-old king wanted a simpler service than that of Queen Elizabeth II, in front of an audience of guests limited to 2,300 people (foreign leaders, crowned heads, elected officials, civil society, etc.), many events are planned.
The coronation of Charles and Camilla will show some of the most beautiful jewels in the world, objects steeped in history and symbols, testifying to the longevity of the British monarchy. The thousand-year-old religious ceremony will be followed by two days of celebrations across the kingdom, despite the indifference and incomprehension of some Britons who consider certain privileges excessive in the midst of an economic crisis. All the subjects of the kingdom, of which Charles III is the head of state, will be called upon to pledge allegiance to the sovereign during the coronation.
