54 Labor constituencies have switched to the Conservatives

The election on Thursday 12 December in the United Kingdom turned into a debacle for the Labor Party. Fifty-four constituencies held by Labor – out of 650 – have switched to the conservative camp. Among them, 52 had voted for "Leave" in the June 2016 referendum.

The other winner in this election was the Scottish National Party (SNP), which won 13 seats over the previous election, and now has 48 of the 59 seats vested in Scotland (81%). The Scottish Prime Minister's party recovers seven seats in the Scottish Conservative Party, but loses one to the Liberal Democrats in the North East Fife.
