Journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, one of the most famous of the Arab channel Al-Jazeera, was killed on Wednesday morning May 11 by Israeli army fire while she was covering clashes in the Jenin sector, in the West Bank, noted a journalist from Agence France-Presse (AFP) on the spot.

According to the Palestinian health ministry, another Palestinian journalist was shot in the back, but is said to be in stable condition.
