Likud, the party of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, came first in the legislative elections on Monday March 2. "This is a great victory for Israel", at tweeted the Prime Minister, adding a " thank you ". He will pronounce his "Victory speech", also announced a spokesman for Likud.

The voting intentions of the past few days hinted at a new parliamentary impasse, but the polls disseminated after the closing of the polling stations credit the formation of Mr. Netanyahu of 36 or 37 seats out of the 120 of the Parliament, against 32 or 33 for the training Kahol Lavan (Blue White) of his rival Benny Gantz. With his right allies and ultra-Orthodox parties, Mr. Nétanyaou is credited with around 60 seats, on the threshold of a majority (61) in the Knesset (Parliament), that is to say at exactly the same point where he had failed to form a majority of government after the April 2019 elections.

The Israelis were called to the polls for the third time in less than a year, the previous two legislative elections having failed to form a government. Benyamin netanyahu has also campaigned after being indicted for corruption.
The exit polls show that "Colonization, annexation and apartheid have won"Saeb Erekat, secretary general of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), said in a statement.
