Same offensive as Sunday

The Parisians and their attacking quartet kept the same offensive going as Sunday against ASM, and were rewarded with goals from Mbappé (24, 90 + 1) and Neymar (45 + 2, sp) and Sarabia ( 73).

The Parisians were more generous in defensive efforts, but also rested on the beautiful parades of their goalkeeper Keylor Navas. The Costa Rican, however, missed his last outing, allowing Bakayoko to close the gap.

Paris now has an eight point lead over Marseille, its runner-up, before these trips to the Coupe de France in Lorient, the Coupe de la Ligue in Reims and then Lille in the league.

Rennes also started again after losing last weekend to Marseille. Without shining against voluntary Nîmes but technically limited, the players of Julien Stéphan ensured the essential thanks to a goal from Hunou (64e). The Rennais chain their sixth victory in seven games of L1 and return to 5 points from Marseille, but especially consolidate their 3e square. Nîmes, on the contrary, remains depressed at the 19e place, and even loses a point on Amiens, roadblocker, who caught Reims.

The Picards woke up after a first indigestible period, where they could have been carried heavily if the VAR, the video assistance to the arbitration, had functioned to warn the referee of a collision of Arturo Calabresi on Moussa Doumbia, or if that same Doumbia hadn't hit the post. It was ultimately Dereck Kutesa, who gave the Rémois the advantage.

Shortly after returning from the locker room, the VAR, again operational, intervened to give a penalty to Amiens, transformed in two stages by Konaté. Amiens is still two points behind Metz, 17e and first team above the red zone.
