A second success in qualifying for the Euro-2021 will allow the Blues to spend the winter warm. The French women's team of the untenable Amel Majri, author of a hat-trick, made her power speak to modest Serbia (6-0) on Saturday (November 9th) in the well-stocked Matmut Atlantic in Bordeaux.

Faced with the sluggish victory against Kazakhstan (3-0) in early October, the coach Corinne Deacon asked her players to be "More serious", more effective. The message has been heard. At Chymkent, the first goal came on the hour. In Bordeaux, there were already three goals scored after the first half hour.

The figures do not always tell the truth of a match but, in this case, they were the early witness of a one-sided meeting between the Blues, quarter finalists of the World Cup last summer, and the Serbs , ranked at 41e rank in the FIFA rankings.

Evening captain Marion Torrent might have called for distrust of "A catchy team, playing with the heart"there was no match against the Balkans team, already outclassed in the previous four confrontations (19 goals scored and none conceded in four duels).

Rest until April for the Blue

Worn by more than 21,000 fans, the French have suffocated their opponents with a double-express Majri (7e, 12e), perfectly served by her teammate Olympique Lyonnais Delphine Cascarino. The Parisian Grace Geyoro, a superb volley volleyed entry with the help of a pole (31e), has a note that could have been much saltier. Because in the first period, the team of France has also spoiled a multitude of actions, whether Valérie Gauvin at close range (5e) or head (14e, 20e) or Kenza Dali on attempted counterparts (1re) or above (26e).

On the starting bench, Gaëtane Thiney, Viviane Asseyi and especially Marie-Antoinette Katoto, the second best scorer of the French Championship this season, came into play during a second period also controlled by the Blue . Katoto surprised Milica Kostic from the head (52e), Thiney distinguished itself with a decisive center for Majri (63e). When Asseyi, the Bordelaise who played at home, she closed the mark (90e+3) in additional time. The party was complete.

The Blue will resume the European campaign against Macedonia on April 10 at home, followed four days later by a trip to Austria.
