Argentina, who had never won in New Zealand, caused a sensation on Saturday by winning 25-18 in Christchurch, during the third day of the Rugby Championship, wobbling a little more the mandate of the coach of the All Blacks, Ian Foster, with six defeats in nine games, including three at home.
Despite a victory two weeks ago in Johannesburg against South Africa (35-23), the New Zealand team plunges back into crisis one year before the World Cup in France. The All Blacks were beaten in turn by France, by Ireland, on several occasions, then by South Africa (26-10) and now by Argentina.
Six goals for Emiliano Boffelli
It is, however, an important victory for Argentina, largely due to striker Emiliano Boffelli, who scored six penalties. Two weeks after winning at home against Australia, the Pumas remain at the top of this competition bringing together the four best nations in the Southern Hemisphere.
In the other match of the day, Australia reassured themselves by dominating South Africa 25-17. The fourth day, next Saturday, will feature the same posters.
