There’s a super simple, inexpensive way to keep it VERY secure. I use 2 velcro straps on the cooler and about 4-5′ of Vectran line. Vectran can be found online or at West Marine. I use a modified figure 8 (it’s got one extra twist) knot through the seat bracket, through the velcro loop and back to a trucker’s hitch.
