The Samoans chewed 34 to 9 Russian bears Tuesday, Fiji should do the same with the Urugayans this morning: tribute to the XV Pacific.

- Fiji – Uruguay (7:15 am)
Four days after their encouraging defeat against the Australians (39-21), Fiji line up a team largely overhauled against Uruguay on Wednesday (7:15, group D) at Kamaishi Recovery Memorial Stadium, City devastated by the 2011 tsunami – a minute of silence will be observed at the beginning of the match.
For Flying Fijians, the goal is simple: beat the modest Uruguayans. Coach John McKee made 12 changes to the team that started against the Wallabies; only the two third lines Leone Nakarawa and Dominiko Waqaniburotu, as well as Semi Radradra, moved from wing to center, retain their place. The Fijians are saving their strength in the optics of the match against the Welsh on October 9, a decisive game for Pacific players if they want to see the quarterfinals.
For the Uruguayans, the goal is quite different: 19th World Rugby, the South Americans will try to win a match in the competition, something they have never managed to do in three participations in the World. With the Welsh and Australians in the pool, it will be especially for "Los Teros" to collect fewer points (226) than in 2015, record all editions in progress.

- Russia – Samoa (9 – 34)
A game of golgoths, a rain test and a flurry of yellow cards. The match between Russia and Samoa, won by the Pacific XV (34 to 9) did not make the image of teams known hype. Two high Samoan tackles in two minutes (28e and 30e) – on the same victim, the Russian back Vasily Artemyev, who has his head poured into the cast iron -, a Russian tie in the second half on the third line Afa Amosa: the French referee Romain Poite applied the instructions of World Rugby to the letter (read below), rather than three times.
On the sporting level, the score is once again misleading for Russia: as against Japan in opening (defeat 30-10), Friday, September 20, the Tom Thumb of pool A has played a brave chance against the Samoan favorites. The Russians led the break (6-5) and were still in the match after a well-brought drop from opener Yuri Kushnarev (48th, 9-10). But the "Manu Samoa" ended up out of their nap and score five tries in the second half. They join Ireland and Japan at the top of the group, before facing Scotland on September 30 in Kobe.

" It will be like fifteen Donald Trump. We know they will give everything, as did Tonga. It's great for us because we will have to be at our best. "
Eddie Jones, coach of England, has no equal to prepare his team to face the United States, next opponents of the XV of the Rose, Thursday, September 26, in Kobe. After the unflattering victory over Tonga (35-3), Jones is wary of the American "Eagles" who, if they are not a top-level XV, will, according to him, be as fiery as Donald Trump for their first steps in group C.
"I have absolutely no idea what he means by that, sobered his American counterpart Gary Gold, who said he was surprised by the declarations of the coach of England. At this point, with all due respect, we are not a good enough rugby team to comment on or answer such questions. "

Bak-san likes rugby, a little, a lot, a lot. And he likes to show it. This supporter, a fan of body painting, has launched a challenge, rather funny, to paint the upper body in the colors of twenty teams participating in the World Cup. Japan, Argentina, Namibia, Wales, Samoa … have already passed. Each time, Bak-san made a lot of friends.

The World Rugby International Federation has decided to change its rules regarding the duration of the concussion protocol. The 10 minutes, which were in effect, will now be counted from the entry into the medical room and no longer at the exit of the player's field.
It's heard
This is the controversy of this beginning of World. World Rugby Tuesday pointed to arbitration problems in the first matches of the competition. "The referee team has recognized that the level of officiating observed during the opening weekend (…) did not always correspond to the standards established by World Rugby and by itself "wrote the international federation in a statement.
Several incidents have been debated, including a high veneer hit by Australian winger Reece Hodge on Fijian Peceli Yato, in the match won by the Wallabies (39-21) in Sapporo. Yato was forced to leave the field due to a concussion and Hodge's move was sanctioned by a mere penalty by referee Ben O'Keefe. Engaged in a fight to protect the physical integrity of the players, World Rugby finally quoted Hodge to appear Wednesday before a disciplinary commission for "Dangerous veneer".
