Buttigieg and Sanders shoulder to shoulder after complete counting

Candidates Bernie Sanders and Pete Buttigieg were almost tied for the first vote in the Democratic presidential primaries held in Iowa on Monday, according to results for 100% of the polls, released Thursday evening February 6.

However, the party did not declare a winner due to a computer bug in the Democratic Party’s mobile application that prevented the results from being released on Monday.

According to these comprehensive results, the centrist Pete Buttigieg, 38, former mayor of South Bend, won 26.2% of the vote, followed by socialist senator Bernie Sanders, 78, with 26.1%.

" It's enough "

Progressive Senator Elizabeth Warren remained third at 18.0%, while former Barack Obama vice president Joe Biden was fourth with 15.8% of the vote. Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar garnered 12.3% of the vote.

Earlier in the day Thursday, the head of the US Democratic Party, Tom Perez, called for a re-examination of the results of the primary after reports of errors in the published partial figures appeared.

" It's enough. Because of the problems that have arisen in the application of the delegate selection process, and so that people have confidence in the results, I call on the Iowa Democratic Party to immediately begin a review. ", tweeted Tom Perez. He had not explained what level of rechecking he was asking for in the results.
