Boris Johnson parodies a scene from the movie "Love actually" and annoys Hugh Grant

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson parodied a scene from the movie Love actually, Tuesday, December 10, two days of parliamentary elections, attracting scathing criticism of Hugh Grant, star of this romantic comedy and fierce opponent of Brexit.

In the video posted on Twitter, we see Boris Johnson ringing at the door of a voter, promising, with the help of placards, that"Hopefully, by next year we will have realized the Brexit (if Parliament does not block it again)". The Prime Minister enjoins him to vote for his party and give him a comfortable majority in Parliament to "To realize the Brexit", his campaign slogan.

It parodies a scene from Richard Curtis' 2003 comedy of romantic comedy, in which actor Andrew Lincoln silently smuggled a woman he was in love with.

"Because at Christmas, you tell the truth"

"I thought it was pretty good (…) but it's clear the Conservative Party has a lot of money. Maybe that's where the rubles are going "reacted Hugh Grant, referring to Russian Conservative Party funding charges.

"But I noticed that one of the signs of the original film he did not hold is the one that Andrew Lincoln brandishes and proclaims: "Because at Christmas, you tell the truth" ", added on the BBC the actor who plays the role of prime minister in the film. "I wonder if the Conservative Party's communications advisers thought it would not be great in the hands of Boris Johnson," tapped Hugh Grant.

Given a winning survey, Boris Johnson is often blamed for his report to the truth. During a televised debate during the election campaign, the public burst out laughing when he answered " Yes " to the reporter who asked him if "The truth matters? ".
